It's Wine:30 Somewhere...

If this employee's cuckoo wife does NOT stop calling me, I'm about to lose my marbles. I swear. I JUST talked to her like 10 minutes ago and already, she is calling me again. "Please call me about the questions I have..." REALLY!? You could START by giving me some real questions or some inkling of what the heck you want before I waste valuable minutes of my day trying to call you back! Errrrgggg!!!!

In other news, I went through the WHOLE day Tuesday believing it was Wednesday. You cannot imagine how heartbroken I was when my husband dropped the bomb that it was only Tuesday. Yep... one of those kinda weeks :(

The one awesome thing that happened this week was Baby Lydia's arrival! My good friends, Elizabeth and Jason, married since 2006, have been trying for a couple years to have a baby. They endured a couple of awful miscarriages before finally, now, Baby Lydia arrived to bless their family. Oh I am SO tickled! We're supposed to go see her tonight and I can hardly wait to hold that lil bundle of joy in my arms. Uh-hu... And you know what this means... I got MAJOR BABY FEVER!!!!

This weekend is Easter Sunday. Not sure what the plan is yet, if any. I know I am taking the day off tomorrow... just because... I had kinda been planning to, but I feared my boss wouldn't give it to me. So now, it's going to be a "sick day" (cough cough) We're hoping to look at some apartments and try to find a nice, quiet place to move to. Crossing fingers we find something in our price range that will make a nice, cozy home for us to share :)

Then, it could be date night... We have a gift card to Olive Garden and then we could go see the new Tyler Perry movie. Have you seen the PREVIEW for that!? Whew! Looks scandalous!!

BAM!

Now, back to your regularly-scheduled workday! Peace out!

Holy Cannoli Batman!

What a week it has been! Work has just been awful and I have only a few bright spots that have kept me going this week. Here is the main one:

My husband. Gosh I love him! Just when I feel like I can't take anymore, he gives me reason to smile and to keep fighting through it, whatever it may be. I am so, so blessed. I can't say it enough. I just don't know where I would be without this amazing man in my life. And the fact that I get to call him my "husband" on top of that... Just AWESOME! :D Love you Boobear!

The other bright spot this week was Wednesday night girl fun with my pal "Bean" and our adventure of making Snickerdoodle cupcakes. Yep, you heard me right. Look at these little bites of heavenly goodness!

Bean has quickly become one of my super duper gal pals. She's so sweet and easy to talk to. It took us a while to get our act together and hang outside of work, but now, it's a regular thing. Sweet friend + good eats and/or alcoholic beverage + puppies = good times!

And don't forget about those impromptu "Friends" marathons! How YOU doin!?

Not too many plans for this weekend. The hubby and I are both looking forward to spending some time with Christine and Marshall tomorrow. They are such a good couple to be around... they banter with one another, they flirt with one another, they just enjoy being with one another. That's how we are, so it totally works. Spaghetti -n- Meatballs and a Scrabble rematch are on the agenda! Should be a great day :) Here's a pic of all of us taken at our wedding:

Now we just gotta get these two hitched! Not much longer now... just about 3 months to go! :)

That's all I've got for now! Please cross your fingers that we don't get snow on Sunday! <sigh> I am SO sick of winter!!

(But snow, if you must come, please get me out of work and let me stay home with my hubby! Please and thank you!!)

Friday Letter

dear god: Thank you for continuing to bless me. You come through for me time and again, even when my faith is shaky or I can't see the full picture just yet. Even though I don't deserve your grace, your mercy, your love OR your faithfulness, I am in awe of you and overwhelmed with gratitude.

dear husband: You continue to amaze me. Every morning I wake up, I am so thankful to have you laying beside me. At the end of a long day, it's a mad dash home to the comfort of your arms. You do the little things that make the biggest impact... Thank you for the yellow pinwheel yesterday and just for coming to spend the lunch hour with me. You cannot imagine how much seeing you brightens up my day... You truly make each day worth living... I love you!!

dear soft space: It has been an awesome journey so far delving into my heart and allowing my inner itty bitty to speak. I find the inner desires of her heart are the same as the ones of this grown-up woman... If I only allow her the opportunity to shine through. What's even more awesome is that my husband (wonderful as he is) is embracing my itty bitty, loving her and supporting me on this journey as well.

dear warm weather: Please stay. Last week, we were able to picnic outside. I've been able to put my windows down and turn my music up in the car. No more snow and cold please...

dear "honey bun": (AKA the baby that will hopefully occupy my belly soon) You played a mean trick on us this month... I really and truly thought you were in there! I was definitely sad and Daddy was disappointed too. Even though the timing might not be perfect, I think our hearts are definitely in the right place. We hope and pray you will bless us with your presence soon.

dear friday: I am SO glad you're here. I even broke out my Friday dance for ya!

TGIF

Friday!! Lawd, where have you been!? I thought you ran away forever! Whew... it took you WAY too long to get here, but TGIF!

 (Yeah, that too!)

My husband has been working SO hard on his Finance class, which ends today! Another good reason to TGIF! We have no pressing plans for the weekend, but it'll just be nice for him to not be doing homework! :) Plus the weather is supposed to be nice, I think... 60s just might be warm enough for a lunch picnic or at least spend some time in the sunshine!

My goal is to relax and enjoy the weekend. They always go by so fast... so I want to try to savor them more and make them last as long as possible.

CRAP!!! As soon as I say that, you know what happens this weekend!?

Welp! Cheers to losing an hour of sleep on Saturday night! Sunday nap anyone!?

Fruit stripe gum and a 'Fantastic Voyage'

This week has been tough. I find myself struggling to wake up each day, put one foot in front of the other and accomplish the "must-dos" of the workday. Perhaps my funk is continuing. Perhaps I am burned out and need a vacation. Perhaps I am just not getting enough rest at night. Whatever the reason, Thursday was going to have to be better than the days before it. Please??

The work morning was more of the same ol' business as usual. But then something happened. I mentioned "Soft Space" in my last blog and how we are exploring our inner "itty bitty". One of the other girls posted a pic of her coloring and eating marshmellows, which is totally kiddie stuff. I thought about it for a while and then decided to get some fresh air for lunch. I drove around for a while until I stumbled upon Cracker Barrel. You know what that means!? That shop where you can find candy sticks, Jelly Bellies, Fruit Stripe gum and just about any nostalgia kid-like addiction that they've done away with over the years. I carefully picked out my 8 for a $1 candy sticks, a couple of packs of pop rocks and a pack of Fruit Stripe gum. In an instant, I felt just like a kid again... particularly when I put a pack of Pop Rocks in my mouth, took a swig of soda and waited to see if my belly would explode. (It didn't, obviously! :O)) In one last effort to make this a fun day and escape the dread of heading back to work, I had a mini-dance party to 'Fantastic Voyage' in the car. Who knew Coolio could turn my day around!?

Must go back to work now unfortunately. Hoping the afternoon goes by swiftly though. My hubby has his first basketball game tonight with a league he joined so I will be cheering him on and beating up anybody who has something bad to say about his team! <JK>

Here's to a positive spin for the rest of the week!
